- Store would create 130 to 170 full- and part-time jobs -

WHO: Lowe's Companies, Inc., announced today it has proposed to bring a store to Dennis, Mass.

WHAT:  The Lowe's of Dennis would create 130 to 170 full- and part-time jobs and bring approximately $100,000 in property tax revenue to the Town of Dennis annually

For more information, visit www.LowesofDennis.com

ABOUT THE STORE:

The home improvement store would include less than 100,000 square feet with an adjacent garden center of approximately 28,000 square feet.

Smaller than Lowe's standard prototype, the proposed Dennis store reflects Lowe's efforts to deliver a design that best serves Dennis and Cape Cod customers and also fits within the community character of the area.

In fact, the proposed Lowe's of Dennis would be the smallest Lowe's store in New England.

The Lowe's of Dennis would stock 40,000 different items to help customers build, improve and beautify their homes.  A store of this size represents an average investment in the community of more than $16.5 million and will create 130 to 170 full- and part-time jobs.

ABOUT LOWE'S:

With fiscal year 2011 sales of $50.2 billion, Lowe's Companies, Inc. is a FORTUNE® 100 company that serves approximately 15 million customers a week at more than 1,745 home improvement stores in the United States, Canada and Mexico.
