Charlotte Business Journal Honors Fetter for His Leadership and Achievements at LPL

CHARLOTTE, N.C. - Aug. 24, 2015 - LPL Financial LLC, the nation's largest independent broker-dealer*, a custodian for registered investment advisors (RIAs), and a wholly owned subsidiary of LPL Financial Holdings Inc. (NASDAQ: LPLA), today announced that Victor Fetter, LPL managing director and chief information officer, has been named CIO of the Year in the public company category by the Charlotte Business Journal.

Fetter joined LPL in 2012 from Dell Computer, and since joining the firm he has delivered technology enhancements and innovative solutions that have optimized LPL's business processes, enabled growth, created competitive advantages and improved the client experience at LPL. Of the more than 100 impactful technology projects that Fetter has overseen at LPL, examples include: the firm's new cloud-based trading platform; an enhanced investor portal for advisor use; a cashiering tool that enables straight-through processing of transactions; the Streamlined Office, comprised of three critical electronic document management solutions in a single workflow; LPL Financial Mobile; and a new unified email service for advisors. In addition, he led improvements in the development and deployment processes of LPL's technology solutions, enhanced a number of employee systems to better support service delivery and compliance efforts and is leading the development of LPL's ClientWorksSM platform, an enhanced and integrated cloud-based platform, currently in a pilot phase with more than 300 advisors who are actively using its completely redesigned capabilities.

Fetter was honored at a luncheon on Aug. 19 in Charlotte and is featured in the Aug. 21 issue of Charlotte Business Journal.
