LUZ SAÚDE Over 1200 athletes participated in the 3rd Corrida do Vitória, an event included in the celebrations of the 107th anniversary of Vitória Futebol Clube, which took place on November 26.
The event - starting at Bonfim Stadium and following along the centre of Setúbal, with a 10-km extension - was, once again, a success and counted with the presence of about 50 collaborators from Hospital da Luz Setúbal, official medical partner of Vitória Futebol Clube. Besides this main event, there was a 5-km walking, an event strongly participated by families, that profited the sunny morning and gave colour to the streets of the city's historical centre.
The running was won by Marco Teixeira, athlete of União do Futebol Comércio e Indústria, who reached the finish line with 30'38'', while Selene Lima, athlete of Vitória Futebol Clube, won in the senior female category with a time of 43'17''. Nuno Rebelo, Clinical Analysis receptionist, was the best qualified among the collaborators from Hospital da Luz Setúbal, with a time of 51'52''.
At Bonfim Stadium, Hospital da Luz Setúbal set a medical centre equipped with the technical and human resources necessary to provide medical assistance to all athletes. Besides this team - including a doctor, three nurses and a physiotherapist -, clinical assistance was ensured by three ambulances, accompanying the athletes along the way.
