LUZ SAÚDE Hospital da Luz Uro-Oncology at the European Congress of Prostate Cancer
25-06-17The 5th edition of ProsCa, the main European congress on prostate cancer, will be held in Lisbon, at Convento do Beato, between 28 and 30 June, and the organization counts with a strong participation of the Department of Uro-Oncology from Hospital da Luz Lisboa.
About 500 participants are enrolled, which will have the opportunity to hear the biggest European specialists and discuss the most recent and relevant topics in the area.
Kris Maes, urologist and coordinator of the Centres of Uro-Oncology and of Minimally Invasive Robotic Surgery of Hospital da Luz Lisboa, integrates the Portuguese organizing committee of the congress (together with Maria Filomena Pina, from Hospital de Santa Maria, and Gabriela Sousa, from IPO of Coimbra). Kris Maes will also moderate three of the sessions and will give a workshop on robotic surgery, including video presentations.
The participation of Luz Saúde group professionals goes further on: the director of the Oncology Centre of Hospital da Luz Lisboa, José Luís Passos Coelho, will also moderate one of the sessions, and the radiologist Adalgisa Guerre will make a presentation.
The congress has the support of the Portuguese Association of Urology.
