The startup has created a highly innovative solution that connects companies in the insurance world with a community of photographers

Whoosnap, a startup that allows companies to obtain photos and videos in real time and on demand, has closed a capital increase of approx 1.3 million Euros. The young company is part of the investment portfolio of LVenture Group, a listed holding company that invests in digital startups.

With this operation, LVenture Group added a total of 95 thousand Euros to previous investments in the startup. FocusFuturo, a well-established investment platform in Italy, has led to the startup investments worth 1 million Euros coming from Business Angel, including Roma football player Stephan El Shaarawy and some well-known entrepreneurs.

Whoosnap has created a platform that connects companies with a community of photographers ready to make real-time and on-demand photos and videos in exchange for an economic reward. Born to find employment mainly in the journalistic field, the startup soon approached the sector of InsurTech, thanks to the combination of the crowdsourcing mechanism combined with a system of certification of the authenticity of the shots. That's why in August it launched Insoore, a service that connects insurance companies and fleet management companies with thousands of detectors ready to create a photographic documentation of a vehicle on demand and in real time, especially in the event of accidents and first insurance. Insoore will be distributed globally thanks to an agreement with OCTO Telematics, a leader in the market of the InsurTech.

Today, Whoosnap has more than 300,000 users and a million multimedia content received in response to requests. 'We are very satisfied with the results that Whoosnap is achieving and for this reason we have decided to increase our investment' commented Luigi Capello, CEO of LVenture Group'The startup has an increasingly broad and active user base and is strong of a young, dynamic and enterprising team that offers a highly innovative solution for the insurance world'. According to Antonio Assereto fromFocusFuturo 'Whoosnap fully represents the investments we believe in: innovation, an important reference market and a high profile team with ethical values aligned with ours'.

Whoosnap, was founded in 2015 and in the same year it took part in the acceleration program run by LUISS ENLABS 'The Startup Factory', Accelerator born from a joint venture between LVenture Group and LUISS University, and received a round of investment from LVenture Group, some Business Angels who are part of Angel Partner Group (APG) and Club degli Investitori di Torino.

'We are really happy for the trust that investors have placed in us and in our project' said Enrico Scianaro, CEO of Whoosnap'This capital increase is a confirmation of the work done to date and will make an important contribution to the development of Insoore. With these fundings we can immediately distribute our service on an international scale and make a tool to fight fraud available to all insurance companies, with the aim of making this system a standard in the insurance world'.
