LVMH, the world's leading high quality products group, announces the acquisition of Arnys, the celebrated made-to-measure menswear brand.

Arnys has been led by the Grimbert family since 1933 and most recently by Jean and Michel Grimbert, the third generation of the family to run and own the business. The brand is synonymous with the best of French expertise in haute couture and made-to-measure tailoring for men and also has an exceptional ready-to-wear line.

Antoine Arnault, Chief Executive of Berluti, said: "This acquisition brings together two Maisons which, in their own respective ways, embody generations of excellence, savoir faire and creativity. Jean Grimbert brings to our project his invaluable expertise and pure passion for elegance and its perfect execution, qualities embodied by Arnys as well as by Berluti".

Jean Grimbert added: "The transmission of knowledge and craftsmanship has been at the heart of our discussions with Antoine Arnault since our very first meeting. I am delighted and proud that the savoir faire of the Arnys workshops will live on through Berluti."

This acquisition reflects Berluti's strategy under Antoine Arnault to expand the activities of the celebrated shoe maker with the brand's first men's high end ready-to-wear collection. Alessandro Sartori, Artistic Director and creator of the highly successful collection launched at the Beaux Arts in Paris on 20 January 2012, will lead the brand's made-to-measure activities.

Jean Grimbert will personally oversee the continuation of Arnys' expertise and the boutique at 14, rue de Sevres in Paris, will become the flagship store for Berluti's new activities. This boutique will be one of the only places in France where it will be possible to order an entirely made-to-measure suit.

Arnys' craftsmen and all the brand's employees will join the LVMH Group.
