Lynas Corporation Limited ("Lynas") (ASX:LYC, OTC:LYSDY) welcomes the release by the International Atomic Energy Agency ("IAEA") of its latest report on the Lynas Advanced Materials Plant in Malaysia ("LAMP"). The report is available on the IAEA's website, www.iaea.org.
The IAEA Report confirms that "the radiological risks to members of the public and to the environment associated with the operation of Lynas Advanced Material Plant are intrinsically low."
The IAEA Report also confirms that the Malaysian Atomic Energy Licensing Board
("AELB"), the Government of Malaysia, and Lynas, have satisfactorily implemented all of the IAEA's recommendations from the IAEA's 2011 report.
Independent data concerning Lynas' environmental compliance is available on the websites of the AELB (www.aelb.gov.my) and the Malaysian Department of Environment (www.doe.gov.my).
