Appointment of Christopher Russell as Non-Executive Director

Macau Property Opportunities Fund Limited, managed by Sniper Capital Limited, today announces that it has appointed Mr Christopher Russell to its Board as a Non-Executive Director with immediate effect.

Mr Russell, aged 63, has 40 years' experience in finance, investment and real estate, half of which has been focused on Asia. He is currently a Fellow of the Institute of Chartered Accountants in England and Wales and a Fellow of the UK Society of Investment Professionals. 

In addition to his position as Chairman of F&C Commercial Property Trust Ltd - a FTSE 250 real estate company listed on the London Stock Exchange which manages investments of over US$1.5 billion - Mr Russell is Deputy Chairman of the UK Association of Investment Companies. He also holds several non-executive board level positions with a range of companies, where he has been actively involved in the formulation of their investment strategies.

A Guernsey resident, Mr Russell was, until 2001, an Executive Director of Gartmore Investment Management plc, where he headed its overseas businesses in the US and Japan. Prior to Gartmore, he was a holding board director of the Jardine Fleming Group in Hong Kong.
