Macquarie : Andrew Stancliffe joins Macquarie Securities as Head of Cash Trading, Europe

Macquarie Securities, the institutional equities arm of Macquarie Group, has appointed Andrew Stancliffe as Head of Cash Trading, Europe. Andrew will be based in London and will report to Dipesh Patel, Head of Cash Equities, Europe.

Andrew will support the growth of the trading team, developing Macquarie Securities' trading and execution strategy, focusing on client relationships and upcoming regulatory changes.

Andrew brings more than 17 years of trading experience to his new role. Prior to joining Macquarie, he spent four years as Head of Trading at Investec in London where he led the trading team to grow commission, trading revenues and help form the bank's strategy. He has also previously held senior positions in the trading teams at Evolution and Merrill Lynch.

Dipesh Patel, Head of Cash Equities, Europe, said: 'We are pleased to welcome Andrew to Macquarie. Andrew's senior appointment is the latest in a series of hires across Macquarie Securities as the team doubles the number of stocks covered and extends its research capability to new sectors including consumer and luxury goods, technology, chemicals and insurance.
