Will host Car of the Future Design Challenge for university students

SAILAUF, Germany, August 18, 2015 - Magna's Transformobility Exhibition will be making its way to the 66th International Motor Show 2015 in Frankfurt this September. The exhibition will showcase the company's latest innovations and technologies for future mobility.

What if the car of the future could transform traffic into open roads, gestures into actions, emissions into oxygen, frustration into freedom, and blind-spots into plain sight? Magna's Transformobility Exhibition, located in Hall 5.1, booth A16, will display technologies that address many of these issues, from cutting-edge developments in the connected car, including autonomous driving features and cyber security, to alternative propulsion solutions and lightweighting.

As part of the exhibit, Magna will also host 12 university engineering and industrial design students who are finalists in a Car of the Future Design Challenge. While at the Motor Show, these 12 finalists will form teams to compete in a three-day design challenge at the Magna booth. Results of the challenge will be announced on September 17, 2015, and winners will be awarded cash prizes. The 12 finalists represent the following universities:

• Imperial College London
• Pforzheim University of Applied Sciences
• University of Antwerp
• University of Applied Sciences Upper Austria
• Institute of Applied Arts and Design
• FH Oberösterreich
• Munich University of Applied Sciences
• University of Leuven

The Magna exhibit will be on display for the entirety of the Frankfurt Motor Show, from September 15-27, 2015. While at the show, make a point of stopping in to see how Magna is leading the development of the car of the future.
