"We are honored that the Center of Automotive Management has recognized Magna and our ability to deliver innovative products that meet the needs of the market," said Swamy Kotagiri, Chief Technology Officer, Magna International, accepting the award. "As a global leader in four-wheel- and all-wheel-drive technologies, Magna know-how is found on millions of vehicles on the road; therefore, we are constantly striving to make our products smarter, cleaner, and safer with each new generation."

With the award, CAM and PwC particularly honored two of our technologies:

-- Magna's FLEX4(TM) technology, the first all-wheel drive (AWD) disconnect
system that automatically shifts between true two- and four-wheel drive
and reduces fuel consumption by up to ten percent compared to other AWD
        systems.
-- MILA Blue concept car that Magna presented at the Geneva Motor Show
2014. MILA Blue is an innovative, natural-gas powered, A-segment
lightweight vehicle that produces less than 49g CO(2)/km.

"CAM has researched the most innovative companies in the automotive industry in our annual study for ten years. This year's expert panel considered Magna's holistic and innovative approach, the company's leadership position in driveline, and its technologies that address key industry trends," said Prof. Dr. Stefan Bratzel, Center of Automotive Management.

As part of the Automotive INNOVATIONS Award selection process, 300 supplier innovations were evaluated, 72 of them in the Drivetrain Technology category which included technologies such as conventional motors, alternative drivetrains, transmissions and exhaust systems.
