Magyar Telekom (Reuters: MTEL.BU and Bloomberg: MTELEKOM HB), the leading Hungarian telecommunications service provider, announces that its subsidiary, Crnogorski Telekom A.D. Podgorica, has held its Shareholders Assembly today and made a decision on a total dividend payment of EUR 21.5 million (around HUF 6.5 billion at the May 27, 2014 HUF/EUR exchange rate of 303.51) for the financial year 2013.

According to Montenegrin Accounting Standards, Crnogorski Telekom recorded a net income of EUR 18.8 million for 2013. In line with the decision of the Shareholders Assembly, the total amount of the net income and an additional EUR 2.7 million of retained earnings will be distributed as dividends. Magyar Telekom, which has a 76.53% stake in the company, is entitled to a dividend payment of approximately EUR 16.5 million (HUF 5.0 billion).
