Makedonski Telekom Skopje : Donation by Makedonski Telekom and the City of Skopje for the Children's Hospital - Kozle

• A donation comprised of medical devices worth EUR 10,000
• The donation was implemented by means of repurposing the funds planned for the New Year's celebration

Today, Makedonski Telekom and the City of Skopje handed over the donation comprised of two medical devices to the Institute of Respiratory Diseases in Children - Kozle. This donation has been implemented by means of repurposing the funds planned for the New Year's celebration, amounting to EUR 10,000.

'We have made the right decision - together with the City of Skopje - to repurpose the funds planned for the celebration into a donation of medical devices, whereby the health and the quality of life of the children will be improved. We chose Kozle because it is the only institution in the country of this type, where more than 200 children, from the earliest age, are being examined on a daily basis'. - said Andreas Elsner, the Chief Executive Officer of Makedonski Telekom.

'The health of our children is, without any exceptions, at the top of the priorities of the City of Skopje. We take every single opportunity to unconditionally contribute for the improvement of the quality of life of the youngest generations. That is why we responsibly take advantage of every situation which is in the interest of children's health' - said Petre Silegov the Mayor of the City of Skopje.

The donation was accepted by the medical director, dr. Angelco Andonovski, who expressed his gratitude and pointed out that these devices will ensure a better diagnostics, reduction of the waiting time and providing adequate treatment to a larger number of patients.

The Institute of Respiratory Diseases in Children - Kozle is the leading institute in our country, as well as the region, in terms of complex respiratory diseases in children. The aim of the Institute is to ensure full pediatric care to the patients. The institute provides services for 39,000 children on an annual basis, of whom 4,000 are hospitalized, while 35,000 are treated on an outpatient basis.
