Scania Proposes Prof. Dr. Ferdinand K. Piech As Board Member

Swedish truck maker Scania AB (SCV-A.SK) said Monday its nomination committee has proposed the election of Prof. Dr. Ferdinand K. Piech as member of the company's board, to replace Gunnar Larsson, who has notified the nomination committee that he isn't available for re-election.
MAIN FACTS:
-Prof. Dr.Piech is Chairman of the Supervisory Boards of Volkswagen AG (VOW.XE) and MAN SE (>> MAN AG). He was Chairman of the Board of Scania between 2000 and 2002 and member of the Board of Scania between 2002 and 2003.
-Shares closed Monday at SEK137.40.
