TORONTO, Sept. 8, 2014 /PRNewswire/ -- Manulife Asset Management said that it has named Allan Hutton, CFA, as Managing Director, Business Development, for Ontario. The appointment was effective September 2. Mr. Hutton, who is based in Toronto, reports to Adam Neal, Senior Managing Director, Canadian Head of Institutional Sales & Relationship Management.

Most recently Mr. Hutton was Vice President, Institutional Investment Services, with Hillsdale Investment Management Inc. of Toronto, which he joined in 2008, and before that was Manager, Consulting Services, with Twenty-First Century Investments Inc. He also held positions with Ernst & Young Investment Advisers, and with The Canada Life Assurance Company. He holds an MA in Economics from the University of St. Andrews. He has been a CFA Charterholder since 2003.
