Its other 24-inch fuel pipeline, which runs from Oklahoma into the U.S. Midwest, is expected to start on Monday, the statement added. The pipeline system starts in Port Arthur, Texas, and ends in Hammond, Indiana.

Explorer is owned by Phillips 66 (>> Phillips 66), Marathon (>> Marathon Petroleum Corp), Sunoco Logistics and Shell , according to its website.

The pipeline startup will ease concerns over a fuel supply crunch after storm Harvey took down nearly a quarter of U.S. oil-refining capacity, hit oil and gas platforms along the Gulf and sent gasoline futures prices to two-year highs.

Colonial Pipeline Co will restart Texas portions of its main distillate on Monday and gasoline line on Tuesday also shut by Harvey, the company said on Sunday.
