Mercer has named Chris McCarthy to the position of Philadelphia Office Leader, the firm announced today. Mr. McCarthy will be responsible for enhancing client service quality, spearheading strategic growth initiatives, and executing the firm’s overall go-to-market strategies in Philadelphia and the surrounding area. As a Partner, he will report to Mary Tinebra, Mercer’s Northeast Market Leader.

“Chris has an extensive list of achievements and a long-standing relationship with our Philadelphia-based clients,” said Ms. Tinebra. “His insights and experience will make him a significant asset as we continue to provide high-quality services to our clients, while also growing our business to meet increased market needs.”

Mr. McCarthy has been with Mercer for over 14 years holding a variety of roles with increasing responsibility. He began his career in the Retirement business, later transferring to Health & Benefits. In his most recent role within the Health & Benefits business, Chris has been leading several large client teams across a diverse range of industries as they formulated their strategic plans to offer competitive benefits programs and manage costs. He received his Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration from Villanova University.
