Mercer recently named Marvin Stokes as its Charlotte Office Leader, the firm announced today. In collaboration with the South Market Leadership Team, Mr. Stokes will be responsible for driving overall office growth, ensuring client service excellence, and strengthening the Mercer brand in the local market. In this capacity, he reports to Chris Mahoney, South Market Leader.

Mr. Stokes has nearly 30 years of experience in benefits strategy, funding, financing, plan design, mergers and acquisitions, overall plan administration, and compliance. He joined Mercer in 2013 as the Retirement Business Leader for Mercer’s offices in the Carolinas, a role he will continue to hold. Prior to joining Mercer, Mr. Stokes spent 27 years with Aon Hewitt, where he was a Partner, having held various leadership roles.

Mr. Stokes holds a Bachelor of Business Administration, with a major in actuarial science, from Georgia State University. He is also a Fellow of the Society of Actuaries.
