Marsh & McLennan : Names Eddie Dunn Director, Military And Veterans Affairs

NEW YORK, April 21, 2014 - Marsh & McLennan Companies, Inc. (NYSE: MMC), a global professional services firm offering clients advice and solutions in risk, strategy, and human capital, announced today that Eddie Dunn has joined the firm as Director, Military and Veteran Affairs.

In this role, Mr. Dunn will play a key role in supporting the US Veterans Talent Initiative Marsh & McLennan Companies announced last November. He will be responsible for managing the Firm's US veteran recruitment strategy, matching highly qualified veteran talent to openings within Marsh & McLennan Companies and its four operating companies - Marsh, Guy Carpenter, Mercer, and Oliver Wyman - and serving as a key point of contact for veteran hires. Mr. Dunn will report to Marsh & McLennan Companies Chief Diversity & Inclusion Officer Nicole Gardner and interim Head of Talent Acquisition Denise Nichols.

Mr. Dunn joins the Company from JP Morgan Chase, where, as Senior Vice President, Military and Veteran Affairs, he had key leadership responsibility for the development and implementation of the 100,000 Jobs Mission strategy and program. The 100,000 Jobs Mission is a coalition of premier companies, including Marsh & McLennan Companies, that has pledged to hire veterans.

Prior to joining JPMorgan Chase in August 2011, Mr. Dunn ran his own consulting firm, Innovative "Org" Design, which focused on organizational leadership and change management. Before that, he served as Director of Human Resources North America at Fisher Clinical Services and as an Associate Director of Human Resources at Novartis Pharmaceuticals.

Mr. Dunn is a 20-year veteran of the United States Army, serving first in the 82nd Airborne Division as paratrooper and logistician before joining the Army Reserves. In the Reserves, he served in the 824th Quartermaster as a parachute rigger and jumpmaster. He held the position of company first sergeant before retiring in 2008./p>

He has a BSc in Organizational Management from Nyack College, New York.
