The discussion will focus on the Mobile Acute Care Team (MACT), an innovative program being piloted by Mount Sinai to provide patients in need with acute care in-home. Bartiromo will moderate the panel with Albert L. Siu, MD, Chairman of the Brookdale Department of Geriatrics and Palliative Medicine at Mount Sinai and Audrey K. Chun, MD, Medical Director of the Martha Stewart Center for Living within the Brookdale Department of Geriatrics and Palliative Medicine.

Following the panel, Stewart will honor Art Collector Hester Diamond, Century 21 Partners and Co-Founders Al (Abraham) Gindi and Samuel Gindi (in memoriam) as well as Public Advocate Betsy Gotbaum and her husband, former City Labor Leader Victor Gotbaum (in memoriam), with the "Living Award," an honor bestowed each year to someone who has made a substantial and positive impact on the public good.

"At the Martha Stewart Center for Living at Mount Sinai, it is our mission to use research and the practice of geriatric medicine to elevate the level of eldercare and its importance in our society," said Martha Stewart. "Through our Gala, we hope to open a dialogue and increase awareness about this topic in order to continue improving the way we care for adults. It is a subject that affects us at all ages, and we must continue to move the conversation forward."

Founded in 2008, the Martha Stewart Center for Living serves to promote and facilitate access to health care resources for older adults and to enhance the public perception of aging. Through the Martha Stewart Center for Living, patients and their caregivers have access to programs and resources appropriate for their needs and interests.
