KraftMaid, an
industry leader and one of the largest semi-custom cabinet
manufacturers in the United States, brings forward-thinking
design and exquisite style to homes with its latest
collection that infuses hip, new colors and door styles
with classic favorites.
The Spring 2012 product collection includes fresh stains
and paints, colorful inserts, and door styles along with
new design enhancements and decorative vanity accents.
What's more, KraftMaid is introducing the CoreGuard™ sink
base cabinet, standard in 30", 33" and 36"
cabinetry, to keep under-the-sink cabinetry dry and clean.
"The theme of the launch, Modern Retrospect, brings
homeowners back to a simpler time by mixing modern with
timeless and nostalgic design, resulting in an unexpected
and refreshing blend," said Sarah Reep, director of
designer relations & education at KraftMaid Cabinetry. "The
products offer an opportunity to bring balance with neutral
tones while tapping into design creativity with fresh pops
of color."
Color That Inspires
The Modern Retrospect collection brings homeowners
refreshing options including six new color options that
come in the form of two stains, two paints and two new
painted inserts.
-
Golden Lager is a mid-tone brown stain that
enhances the wood by letting the grain clearly show
through and blends well with everything, including
treasured keepsakes and accent pieces. The beauty of this
stain is that it pairs well with a variety of colors and
finishes. Golden Lager is standard on Birch, Cherry,
Hickory, Maple and Oak and on Rustic Birch, Maple and
Cherry in Burnished Golden Lager.
-
Grey continues to trend in home and fashion design. A
dark grey color,
Slate, integrates into every design style, from
traditional to contemporary. The sheer stain brings out
the tones of Birch, Cherry, Hickory, Maple and Oak woods
and is a dramatic complement to stainless steel and
polished chrome and nickel.
-
Building on the grey trend is
Greyloft, a dark tone that adds an air of
sophistication on Maple door styles. The painted finish
provides a stunning base for a variety of colors. With
this paint, KraftMaid also offers several finishing
techniques-Sable Glaze, Vintage Greyloft and Vintage
Greyloft with Sable Patina-to give a relaxed feel to the
space.
-
Midnight, a great staple color, works well alone or
with other finishes. Available on Maple, its versatility
and dark painted color reflects the movement from
traditional to transitional styles. Midnight is also
available in Midnight with Onyx Glaze, Vintage Midnight
and Vintage Midnight with Onyx Patina.
-
Finally,
Aegean and
Envy paneling, both from the green/blue color family,
are available as cabinetry inserts, contrasting backs and
end panels to add an unexpected pop of color. The
colorful panels are available in smooth, beaded or
v-groove.
In addition to these distinctive color options, the new
KraftMaid product line brings new door styles.
Cornell, offered in both Maple and Cherry, bridges the
gap between traditional and contemporary.
Harper, which is available in Maple, Cherry and Oak,
can take on either a modern or traditional appearance
depending on the finish selected. And, the existing
Grandview door style has been expanded to include Maple
and Oak species to give homeowners more options for this
popular door style.
Splashes and Spills
For the bath, the new product collection offers three new
decorative vanity accents, bringing the KraftMaid vanity
collection to nine different accents. The accents can be
incorporated on vanities, vanity wall cabinets and mirrors
to give cabinetry the look of fine furniture with subtle
architectural detail.
Hillsborough features spindle side accents with a
stately skirt;
Siegan offers ornamental side accents with a tailored
skirt while
Lanao brings reeded side accents with a bracket-footed
skirt. To keep cosmetics and personal care items
organized,
adjustable drawer dividers and a
wood-tiered storage divider help maximize vanity
storage space.
Besides offering beauty and style, the collection also
brings functionality and protection to cabinetry with
the
CoreGuard sink base cabinet, which provides easy
cleaning and helps prevent damage from spills under the
sink. The CoreGuard sink base cabinet is made from an
engineered polymer that helps protect against damage that
can be caused by everyday messes, leaks and spills. The
base comes standard in 30", 33" and 36"
cabinetry.
"The CoreGuard sink base cabinet helps provide consumers
peace of mind that their cabinetry will stay as beautiful
on the inside as it is on the outside," said Reep. "It
makes sense to protect such a major investment."
