DHgate is first merchant in China to implement MasterPass

Beijing, 19 August, 2014- MasterCard announced that DHgate, a world-leading B2B e-commerce platform, has integrated and deployed MasterPass, its global digital service, to enable a simplified online payment experience for its customers in China. DHgate is the first merchant in China to go live with MasterPass. Working alongside MasterCard, DHGate  will enable small and medium enterprises (SMEs) to strengthen their cross-border ecommerce business.

Launched in February 2013, MasterPass is currently accepted by over 40,000 merchants in ten markets including China, as well as Australia, Canada, Italy, New Zealand, Poland, Singapore, South Africa, United Kingdom and United States. China Construction Bank commenced use of MasterPass in March, becoming the first issuer in China and Asia to implement MasterPass with its digital wallet, LongPass.
