Agritechnica 2015 - Masterflex Group is taking part

At Agritechnica, the world's largest trade fair for agricultural machinery and equipment that is to be held in Hanover, the Masterflex Group will be exhibiting the innovative multifunctional tubing products in the Masterflex, Novoplast Schlauchtechnik and Matzen & Timm ranges. Interested visitors will be able to explore the extensive product portfolio offered by the tubing specialists on stand 15-E 36 from 8 to 14 November.

The Master-PUR Trivolution by Masterflex, for example, is characterised by three outstanding properties: it is at one and the same time permanently antistatic, microbe- and flame-resistant. 'This is thanks to the special blend of materials we use,' explains Jürgen Mahnkopf, Sales Manager North at Masterflex. 'The Master-PUR Trivolution is made of a polyester-polyurethane (PU) combination that has significantly better mechanical characteristics than the polyether PU materials that are more commonly used.'

Specially adapted versions that are microbe- and hydrolysis-resistant are also available in the Master-PUR range for use in specific applications. The heavy-duty and strengthened design means that the tubing products can be used for the extraction and transport of extremely abrasive materials, such as grain, manure and animal feeds.

The improved mechanical properties of the tubing and its three- to fourfold enhanced abrasion resistance in comparison with that of PVC tubing ensure that the products have a much longer service life. Moreover, the tubing products are flexible, lightweight and resistant to temperatures as low as -40°C, ensuring they are much easier to handle and manoeuvre in extreme cold than the still frequently used PVC tubing.

Another of the highlights of the Masterflex range is the Master-PUR Performance, which has completely smooth surfaces, is fully abrasion-resistant and perfectly flexible. It combines optimum flow characteristics with minimum flow loss. This is coupled with a beneficial side effect: the excellent flow characteristics mean that energy consumption is reduced, thus saving costs. It has been specifically developed for the transport of abrasive bulk products and can be readily closely coiled in short sections. Novoplast Schlauchtechnik will be displaying its pneumatic tubing made of polyurethane, polyamide and polyethylene for the control of pneumatic valves and cylinders. On show will be supply and transport tubing, hydrolysis- and microbe-resistant tubing, polyamide brake hoses that conform to the requirements of German norm DIN 74324 for use in vehicles and polyurethane brake spirals developed for use in HGVs.

Matzen & Timm will be presenting their two extremely lightweight tubing products, Flexafit® and Flexrapid®. They are particularly suitable for use for the supply of hot and cold air in the temperature range -40°C to +140°C. Flexafit® tubing is coated with Neoprene® and has been specifically designed for use in air conditioning and ventilation systems, for the removal of light oil vapours and the supply of air to motors. The silicone-coated Flexrapid® is primarily suited for installation in turbochargers, refrigerating units, and air conditioning and ventilation systems. Mahnkopf adds: 'As always, the Masterflex Group is here again following its basic philosophy of offering top quality products and constantly working to improve these.'
