Gelsenkirchen, Germany, 9th July 2018

Anthony Quinn, Global Head of Marketing (2nd from right), and Iris Küpper, Secretary CEO/CFO (left in the picture) from the Masterflex Group presented a symbolic cheque to Hartwig Szymiczek, Managing Director (right in the picture), and Anne Bremer, Deputy Chairman of the Board (2nd from left), of the local children's charity 'Gelsenkirchener Kindertafel'.

As in previous years, 15 Masterflex employees took part in the six-kilometer B2Run company run in Gelsenkirchen. With their participation, the colleagues have not only done something for their own fitness, but also help children and young people at the same time. For every runner registered, the company donated 100 euros to the Children's Food Bank, an initiative of the 'Gelsenkirchener Tafel'.

'We know that our donation is in good hands here, because it goes straight to where it is needed,' says Anthony Quinn. 'Gelsenkirchen is not just our Group Headquarters, we feel deeply connected to this region and it's of particular concern to us to make a positive change locally'.

The 'Kindertafel' children's charity delivers over 550 packed lunches/breakfasts with fruit and vegetable side dishes to schools in Gelsenkirchen every day. The costs of around 33 cents per package are financed exclusively through donations. The Masterflex Group donation therefore helps secure over 4,000 portions of school sandwiches.

The Masterflex Group is a listed corporation that specialises in the development and manufacture of quality connecting and tubing systems made of high performance plastics and textiles. The group brings together six companies that are leaders in their specific fields of connection technology: in addition to Masterflex, these are Matzen & Timm, Novoplast Schlauchtechnik, Fleima Plastic, Masterduct and APT. With its additional production units and sales outlets in Europe, America and Asia, the Masterflex Group is represented almost everywhere across the globe. Its concept for expansion places an emphasis on internationalisation, innovation, operational excellence and digitalisation. Masterflex shares (WKN 549293) have been traded within the Prime Standard section of the Frankfurt Stock Exchange since 2000.
