We're lucky to have a town that hosts such an array of independent eateries - but sometimes you just want a Big Mac or a meatball marinara sub.
Although we know it's no good for us, sometimes we just can't help but drop in for a fast food fix.
And did you know our local fast food chains are on Tripadvisor?
Visiter.co.uk took a look at what people had to say about the town's major takeaway franchises, these being:
Nando's, Subway (x2), KFC (x2), McDonalds (x2)
The worst-rated of these was KFC on Eastbank Street, coming in 256th of the town's 269 restaurants.
Of its 27 reviews, nine are terrible, four are poor and seven are average.
Its latest review says "I arrived at 9.25 and the employee wouldn't serve me because they closed at 9.30"
The highest-rated was Nando's, coming in at a respectable 94th place.
Luke G from Liverpool , who gave it a 5 star review, said: "I don't exactly thank the Lord for the food I have been blessed with - but it is very nice."
Here's how the main food chains stacked up:
* Nando's (Ocean Plaza) 94th on Tripadvisor. Rated 3.5/5
* Subway (Eastbank Street) 214th on Tripadvisor. Rated 3.5/5
* McDonald's (Kew) 229th on Tripadvisor. Rated 3/5
* McDonald's (Ocean Plaza) 232nd on Tripadvisor. Rated 3/5
* Subway (Ocean Plaza) 247th on Tripadvisor. Rated 3/5
* KFC (Ocean Plaza) 250th on Tripadvisor. Rated 2.5/5
* KFC (Eastbank Street) 256th on Tripadvisor. Rated 2.5/5
And these were our favourites of the reviews...
Tripadvisor user hmm1986 said: "I went on holiday to America in January and had chicken wings at Hooters. They were truly something to behold.
"After having tasted what wings are like in the better restaurants in America I can't enjoy KFC."
Pam S from Liverpool called the Eastbank Street sandwich store "one of the better Subways"
She said: "Never run out of any produce, even at busy times. Pleasant helpful staff, and enough of them to run an efficient operation."
woolwich920 dubbed Kew McDonalds the 'hangover sufferer's dream' - we're not sure we agree, given you pretty much *have* to drive to get there...
And sorry - there are still no signs of Southport getting a Burger King any time soon...
