PARTNERSHIP WITH THE ORIGINAL FOUNDERS OF FINELCO GROUP
FOR THE DEVELOPMENT OF MEDIASET'S RADIO ACTIVITIES

Following the agreement with Arnoldo Mondadori Editore for the acquisition of 80% of Monradio, which is the owner of the radio station R101, Mediaset has reached a partnership agreement with the founders of the Finelco Group with the aim of further developing its activities in the radio sector.

Mediaset today bought shares with voting rights corresponding to a 19% stake in RB1 Spa share capital. RB1, together with the original founders, controls 92.8% of the Finelco Group. The Hazan family retains a majority of the shares with voting rights in RB1. Mediaset also acquired non-voting shares in RB1, corresponding to al 50% of the share capital.
The agreement foresees also the possibility for Mediaset to increase its stake, subject to regulatory authorisation.

This investment in Italy's leading radio group - with three national stations and a daily audience of over 8 million listeners - is in line with Mediaset's new development strategy for radio, a modern and lively medium that is recording increasingly interesting audience levels. Today's operation is also a cross-media investment, with evident positive implications both in terms of content production and distribution and advertising.
