Meggitt specializes in the design, manufacturing and marketing of electronic and mechanical equipment intended primarily for the aeronautic and defense sectors. Net sales break down by family of products as follows:
- aeronautic equipment (44.4%): smoke detectors, pneumatics, control and information systems, radars, electronic targeting equipment, drones, etc.;
- defense systems (40.6%): training systems, combat systems, etc. The group also provides electric energy production and conversion systems;
- detection systems (15%).
Net sales are distributed by market into civil aeronautics (44.5%), military (38.9%), energy (10.2%) and other (6.4%).
Net sales break down geographically as follows: the United Kingdom (10.1%), Europe (21.4%), North America (54.3%) and other (14.2%).
