11 hotels within the Meliá Hotels International's portfolio have been awarded at the World Luxury Hotel Awards. The company's upper-upscale and premium hotels have received 22 awards in different categories, reinforcing the Meliá hotels International's commitment with service quality and luxury.

Meliá Hotels & Resorts branded Hotels stand out for their good locations in tourist and business destinations, as well as for their perfect combination of design and functionality. Five of the Meliá branded hotels have been awarded in this edition of the Luxury Hotel Awards, adding up to ten recognitions. The company is especially proud of The Level at Meliá Caribe Tropical (Dominican Republic), recognized as the best Luxury Beach Hotel for Adults in the world.

On the other hand, ME by Meliá has achieved six awards with its hotels ME London, ME Mallorca and ME Ibiza. These hotels, which are already benchmarks in the sector with their own style and cutting-edge design, have reaffirmed their leadership in the luxury sector.

Gran Meliá Hotels & Resorts has received four awards and specifically the Gran Meliá Xian, in China, got three awards, which also highlight the commitment and expansion of Meliá Hotels International in the country. The fourth prize was received by the Gran Meliá Don Pepe in Spain, one of the company's flagship hotels.

Paradisus Playa del Carmen, in Mexico, is now the best Eco / Green Luxury Hotel on the continent. This hotel, a benchmark in responsible tourism since its opening, has also been awarded as best All-Inclusive Luxury Hotel for Families, thanks to La Esmeralda, a resort area especially designed for families.
