For the seventh consecutive year, the Campden Wealth organization, with the sponsorship of Societé Generale Private Banking, held its annual Conference and the European Family Business Awards Gala, with which it intends to recognize 'the values and contribution of these companies to their local communities and to our wider society '.

Held on this occasion in Madrid, during the Gala were made public the judgments of a jury composed of five experts and members of family businesses, which in addition to Escarrer, recognized another prominent Spanish business leader, Pablo Isla, President of Inditex, as 'Top Non-Family Director'.

These coveted Awards recognize Family Businesses from across Europe that have excelled in stewardship, governance, growth and sustainability. The Awards ceremony was presented by Jean-François Mazaud, leader of Societé Generale Private Banking, who stated that 'family businesses are the foundations on which the wider European economy is built, and play a huge role in the delivery of job creation, social cohesion and innovation'.

The representative of Meliá Hotels International thanked the acknowledgement of the European Family Business and praised the process of generational change carried out at the top of the Group, which - he recalled - 'for the Escarrer family, the main shareholder, is much more than a business'. He also affirmed the commitment of the Company and the family to continue building a credible, stable and attractive project for investors, which is also profitable and sustainable for the whole society.
