On April 13th, MCC Shenkan received a letter from the State Intellectual Property Office informing them that their Counterforce Apparatus for Static Test has been authorized by the Chinese National Patent Office.
The Counterforce Apparatus for Static Test mentioned above mainly concerns the field of construction machinery. 'Static test' refers to a test method that exerts vertical pressure, vertical pull-up force or horizontal thrust by degrees at the top of a test pile and then observes the deposition displacement, uplifting displacement or horizontal displacement to determine the vertical compression bearing capacity, uplift bearing capacity or horizontal bearing capacity of the test pile.
Some static tests adopt the heaped method, namely loading calculated weight on the test pile and conducting the test using the quantity of the weight. With the development of foundation technology, the bearing capacity of single piles of composite foundation and test piles is increasing, which means that the test loading and the weight needed on the test pile is increasing as well. The transportation and assembly period of the weight can be very long. The Counterforce Apparatus for Static Test solves the above issue using jacks, girders, certain secondary beams and counterforce anchor cables to reduce the time and steps required and significantly enlarge the security coefficient.
This technology was tested in awind power project in Tieling and achieved good results. Next, it will be promoted to the area of rock uplift testing.
