Metallurgical of China : MCC Convenes Safety Production Work Video Meeting to Convey Spirit of Video and Telephone Conference for Safety Production Nationwide

In the morning of July 21st, MCC convened a safety production work video meeting to convey the spirit of the video and telephone conference for safety production nationwide convened by the State Council on July 20th, and to convey the spirit of the speech made by China Minmetals' General Manager and MCC President & Party Committee Secretary Guo Wenqing at the conference. MCC General Manager and President Zhang Zhaoxiang attended the meeting and made an important address, while MCC Party Standing Committee Member and Vice President Wang Yongguang presided over the meeting and conveyed the spirit of China Minmetals' safety production, energy conservation and environmental protection work meeting in the middle of 2016.

In the video and telephone conference for China Minmetals to convey safety production nationwide, Guo Wenqing put forward four requirements for safety production work: (1) it is necessary to earnestly carry out and learn the important instructions of the General Secretary and the Prime Minister, and the spirit of the nationwide safety telephone conference, and to promote ideological understanding; (2) it is necessary to earnestly perform well in hidden danger identification and to ensure that precautionary measures are in place ahead of time; (3) it is necessary to earnestly put the post responsibility system in practice and to increase accountability in posts; and (4) it is necessary to earnestly perform well in supervision and examination, and to put all jobs into practice.

Zhang Zhaoxiang required each unit to quickly convey and implement the spirit of the video conference for safety production jobs in each grassroots unit, each construction site, each production unit and each production organization, and stressed that safety production responsibility investigations must be qualitative, quantitative and accountable.

Wang Yongguang conveyed the spirit of the China Minmetals Corporation's safety production, energy conservation and environmental protection work meeting in the middle of 2016. Finally, specific job requirements were put forward: (1) the safety supervision department of each unit shall report the participants' information of this meeting after the meeting and conveying and implementation after the meeting next Monday (July 25th) to the Group's Safety & Quality Department; (2) the Safety & Quality Department shall convey the spirit of the meeting to the Guizhou Company, Inner Mongolia Highway and other branch companies without video connections, and ensure that close attention is drawn to the spirit of the meeting at the sites of production units; (3) combined with the concrete situation of the enterprise, it is necessary to complete ordinary and normal safety production jobs, complete specific emergency work in flood prevention, disaster relief and rescue, pay close attention to safety production work, live up to the responsibility in posts, and ensure that measures, accountability and supervision are in place.

The meeting was attended at the Group's main venues and the venues of each subsidiary's parallel session by MCC leaders Xu Xiangchun, Shan Zhongli, Xiao Xuewen, Han Guorui, Zhao Zhishun and Qu Yang, principals of the functional departments of the Headquarters, each subsidiary's leading group members, and each management department's safety production staff.
