Metallurgical of China : MCC Signs Strategic Cooperation Agreement with Hebei Xianghe County Government

On August 12th, MCC held a strategic cooperation agreement signing ceremony with the Hebei Xianghe County Government at the MCC Headquarters in Beijing. MCC General Manager and President Zhang Zhaoxiang and Secretary of the Hebei Xianghe County Party Committee Wang Kaijun attended the ceremony and witnessed the signing of the agreement.

Before signing, both parties held friendly talks. Zhang Zhaoxiang extended his warmest welcome to Secretary Wang Kaijun et al. and briefly introduced MCC's business development, pointing out that MCC is the country's largest contractor of metallurgical engineering construction and service provider of metallurgy enterprise operation. Following the strategic recombination with China Minmetals, both sides are actively promoting the adjustment of the fusion of each sector, exerting their respective superiorities in industry, and ensuring the effective release of dividends when recombining. Zhang Zhaoxiang stressed that under the 'new normal', MCC established the new strategic positioning of being the 'national team of China's metallurgical construction, the main force of capital construction and the pacesetter of emerging industries', and will keep a 'long-term adherence to the construction path of high technology', relying on its strong research & development and scientific innovation ability. MCC's scientific innovation ability has long played the role of 'vanguard' among central enterprises, and its quantity of valid patents has remained fourth for many consecutive years among 100 central enterprises. At present, MCC's non-metallurgical engineering contracts account for over 80% of its engineering contract amount, and the Group's new mainstay businesses cover such emerging industries as sponge city and beautiful village & smart city technology, urban comprehensive pipe galleries and the health and pension industries, as well as infrastructure construction, high-end housing, characteristic themed engineering and so on. Among them, the real estate sector has actively adjusted MCC's development ideas in recent years, and it strives to build a leading enterprise like MCC Real Estate, enlarging and strengthening its key brands, creating a batch of popular high-end project brands, and obtaining a favorable brand reputation and economic benefits. Zhang Zhaoxiang added that the signing of this strategic cooperation agreement marks a new chapter of cooperation between both parties, and MCC will give full play to its comprehensive advantages in management, technology, talents and funds, making new and greater contributions to the faster and better development of Xianghe's economy and society.

Secretary Wang Kaijun extended his thanks for the warm reception of President Zhang Zhaoxiang and briefly introduced the basic situation of Xianghe, pointing out that the County has achieved steady and fast economic and social development in recent years, becoming one of the most dynamic and promising county economies in the regions surrounding Beijing and Tianjin. Xianghe County will firmly grasp the great historical opportunity of the synergetic development of the Beijing-Tianjin-Hebei region, adhere to the road of ecological and green development, accelerate the regulation and development of the ecological landscape area of Chaobai River and its riverside, and actively import high-end and emerging industries, building an ecological civilized city with complete functions, a prosperous economy, livability and harmony. Wang Kaijun said they would adhere to the cooperation ideas of risk-sharing and benefit-sharing, strive for a first-class business environment, and strengthen communication and sincere cooperation to better achieve mutual benefits and joint development.
