To offer a commercially viable valve solution for temperatures up to 425°C (800°F), Metso is now introducing an enhanced design for its RE series V-port segment valve. This allows the use of the same proven product without extra engineering costs.

Metso's Neles® RE series V-port segment valves are economical high-performance control valves in a quarter-turn design. With the latest design enhancements, the valve's temperature capability has now been extended up to 425°C (800°F) for applications like low-pressure or medium-pressure steam and high-temperature hydrocarbons.

This means that the same reliable RE series V-port segment valve can now be used in a much wider application range, enabling standardization and less engineering. Thanks to the additional design features, this control valve now offers a cost-efficient solution for applications that require high temperatures.

The new features for the RE series V-port segment valve are available in a flanged body design in ASME 150 and 300 and in sizes DN50-250 (2"-10"). The valve can be equipped either with a diaphragm or a cylinder actuator. Metso's intelligent valve controllers can also be added for precise control, reliability and online performance monitoring.

To improve plant safety, the RE series V-port segment valve meets ISO 15848 requirements and contributes to more stringent regulations with its low fugitive emission level. Elevated noise levels in high pressure drop applications can be reduced by using Metso's patented Q-Trim® technology.

For more demanding erosive and corrosive applications, Metso can provide a long-lasting coating option.
