Michelin : 2016/2017 FAE - Montréal - The MICHELIN Pilot Sport EV2 tire concludes the 2016/2017 FIA Formula E Championship in style in Montreal

Lucas Di Grassi (Abt Schaeffler Audi Sport) claims the 2016/2017 Drivers' crown, the Teams' title goes to Renault e.dams

To encourage different strategies for the meeting's two races, Saturday's clash featured 35 laps, while Sunday's lasted two laps longer as the teams and drivers battled to settle the outcome in their respective championships once and for all.

The drivers were able to count on their MICHELIN Pilot Sport EV2 tires which have risen successfully to the different challenges they have faced since their introduction at the start of Formula E's third campaign. Their exceptional versatility has allowed the teams to cover an exceptionally wide spectrum of conditions and venues around the world without having to make any compromises in terms of either performance or longevity.

'Once again, our Formula E tire rose to the occasion in Montreal,' added Serge Grisin, the manager of Michelin's FIA Formula E program manager. 'Despite the high track temperatures and low grip levels we saw at the start of the weekend, due notably to the amount of dust on the roads, the MICHELIN Pilot Sport EV2 tire succeeded in combining high performance and safety on the hilly circuit's bumpy surface, while quickly getting up to its ideal working temperature.'

Saturday and Sunday's Montreal ePrix were won by Lucas Di Grassi and Jean-Eric Vergne (TECHEETAH) respectively. Vergne ended Race 1 in second place, ahead of team-mate Stéphane Sarrazin. He was then joined on Sunday's podium by Felix Rosenqvist (2nd, Mahindra Racing) and Jose-Maria Lopez (3rd, DS Virgin Racing).

Season 4 of the FIA Formula E Championship (2017/2018) will kick off with two races in Hong Kong on December 2-3.
