To make sure that it addresses the new Harley-Davidson motorcycle's technical configuration and owners' needs as accurately as possible, the MICHELIN Scorcher® 21 necessitated two years of development. The result is a tire that combines outstanding grip on wet roads, stability and smart cruiser styling.

A radial carcass incorporating aramid fiber

Aramid fiber, which is also a feature of Michelin's hypersport tires, provides damage resistance and a lightweight feel. In addition to contributing to the MICHELIN Scorcher® 21's sporty credentials, it ensures enhanced resistance to cuts and impacts, light weight and assists in delivering impeccable high-speed stability.

Michelin SRT (Silica Rain Technology)

The MICHELIN Scorcher® 21's all-silica SRT tread compounds deliver grip in cold, wet and damp conditions, as well as longer tire life.

A tread pattern designed for city use

Looks are an essential part of the cruiser world, which is why the tread pattern of the MICHELIN Scorcher® 21 - a derivative of that of the MICHELIN Scorcher® 31 - was co-designed by Michelin and Harley-Davidson to comply perfectly with cruiser styling cues, while catering for the vagaries of urban streets and uneven road surfaces.

The Harley-Davidson® Street Rod™ model is the twelfth model to be fitted with MICHELIN Scorcher tires. Starting this month, the MICHELIN Scorcher® 21 will be available in a choice of two sizes across the extensive Harley-Davidson network and from specialist dealers.

Available sizes:

  • 120/70 R 17 M/C 58V SCORCHER 21 TL (front)
  • 160/60 R 17 M/C 69V SCORCHER 21 TL (rear)
