Microchip Technology : CEO Steve Sanghi to Provide Entrepreneurs Real World Insight at TiE Arizona’s Global Thought Leader Lecture

SCOTTSDALE, Ariz., - April 16, 2014 - Taking the helm at Microchip Technology at a time when the company was faced with a challenging business environment, now-President and CEO Steve Sanghi grew, shaped and led the company to become a sector giant in the lucrative market for microcontrollers and analog semiconductors. For its second annual Entrepreneur Global Thought Leader Lecture, TiE Arizona today announced that Sanghi will share his thoughts and perspectives with attendees about entrepreneurship in a global economy. At the inaugural event in 2013, former CEO and Chairman of Intel, Dr. Craig Barrett spoke to a room filled with C-level executives, entrepreneurs, industry thought leaders and students.

Sanghi has been widely recognized for his leadership, vision and ability to create a culture of innovation and effective organizational performance. He was named the President of Microchip in August 1990, Chief Executive Officer in October 1991 and the Chairman of the Board of Directors in October 1993. Sanghi provides an insightful account of his company's story and culture in his book, "Driving Excellence: How the Aggregate System Turned Microchip Technology from a Failing Company to a Market Leader (Wiley)."
