Belden Inc., a global leader in signal transmission
solutions for mission-critical applications, announces it
will feature an end-to-end array of connectivity,
production, playout and monitoring solutions at the 2013
NAB Show. For the first time since Belden's acquisition of
Miranda Technologies last year, visitors to the world's
largest broadcast media technology show will be able to see
demonstrations and interact with staff from Miranda,
including its integrated Telecast Fiber Solutions product
line, and representatives from the Belden cable and
connectivity solutions product areas, all in the same
booth.
Since closing on its acquisition of Miranda last July,
Belden has continued to identify opportunities to leverage
the unique advantages it has in the market. The company has
a platform of products dedicated to meeting the needs of
the broadcast industry and has recently demonstrated its
confidence in broadcast by acquiring Softel Group in
January.
"We continue to see great potential for growth in the
broadcast market and we believe that our strong product
portfolio is appealing for our customers and partners,"
said Denis Suggs, EVP & President, Enterprise Connectivity
and Broadcast Solutions Platforms.. "In the uncertain times
many large suppliers in this business are facing, we're
seeing evidence that our financial strength, stability and
commitment to this industry is something our customers want
and need. We've already successfully integrated Telecast
into Miranda and we'll soon do the same with Softel.
Displaying Belden's traditional connectivity solutions on
the same stand with Miranda solutions is just one more way
we can add value to the relationship with our
customers."
Miranda solutions, which will be presented through a
combination of application-specific solution
demonstrations, enable broadcasters to create and sustain
efficient workflows that help them maintain the highest
levels of quality, remain scalable for future needs and
control costs. These solutions are enhanced by Belden's
full line of broadcast products including cable and
connectivity solutions (coax, category cables and fiber),
racks and panels.
"Our customers need suppliers to be trusted advisors who
can add value to the relationship more than ever before,"
Suggs continued. "We're in a unique position to do this and
our customers are already noticing the difference."
For over 23 years, Miranda Technologies has been a leading
worldwide provider of hardware and software solutions for
the television broadcast, cable, satellite and IPTV
industry. Its solutions span the full breadth of television
