DAIICHI JITSUGYO CO., LTD.
Mitsubishi Heavy Industries, Ltd.

The general machinery trading company DAIICHI JITSUGYO (Chiyoda-ku, Tokyo) and Mitsubishi Heavy Industries, Ltd. (MHI) (Minato-ku, Tokyo) have agreed to cooperate in order to expand the binary cycle power generation equipment *1 business of Turboden s.r.l. (Lombardy, Italy), an MHI Group company, and have signed a contract on May 20 for DAIICHI JITSUGYO to act as a sales distributor in Japan for Turboden.

Binary cycle power generation systems use relatively low temperature heat and hold promise for market expansion for power systems that have extremely low environmental impact.

DAIICHI JITSUGYO is a major player in domestic manufacture, sales and servicing of small-scale binary cycle power generation equipment that utilize geothermal / hot spring and incinerator / factory waste heat and has deep understanding and experience in the binary cycle generation equipment market. With the conclusion of this domestic sales distributor agreement, DAIICHI JITSUGYO will add Turboden's medium and large-scale binary cycle power generation equipment to its lineup, enabling it to expand its business to a wide range of larger-scale waste heat applications.

In addition, Turboden can expect to expand sales of its products in Japan through DAIICHI JITSUGYO's broad sales network.

DAIICHI JITSUGYO and MHI Group are both leading companies in industrial equipment and contribute to protecting the environment and building a sustainable society through manufacture and sales of environmental products such as renewable energy related facilities.

*1 The key component of Turboden's binary cycle power generation equipment is an ORC (Organic Rankine Cycle) turbine that uses low boiling point organic matter as the boiling medium. The generation system uses relatively low-temperature heat sources such as biomass, factory waste heat and geothermal energy.
