Mitsubishi Motors North America, Inc. (MMNA) is proud to announce that it has achieved a significant social media milestone with the brand's popular Facebook page, Mitsubishi USA (Cars), having now surpassed the two million "Like" mark.

Perhaps most impressive is the speed with which the Mitsubishi Motors Facebook page has grown. The site grew from a modest 400,000 "Likes" in August 2012 to over one million this past February and then swiftly grew to two million in November.

The rapid increase in popularity mirrors the tremendous increase in new vehicle sales that the company is experiencing, with sales up more than 30 percent in the past 12 months - among the highest sales growth experienced by any car company in America.

"Over the last couple of years, we have made a concerted effort to make the Mitsubishi Motors page a fun and informative destination on Facebook," said MMNA Executive Vice President, Don Swearingen. "This has resulted in our Facebook page becoming an outstanding means of communication between the brand and our highly engaged and passionate Mitsubishi Motors community."

Having launched back in 2007, the Mitsubishi Motors Facebook page allows fans and vehicle owners to engage in conversations about the brand as the company shares latest news and developments as they happen. Additionally, Facebook fans frequently receive exclusive, behind-the-scenes access to Mitsubishi Motors video footage, commercials, marketing campaigns, corporate news and much more.
