In 2014, HANAE MORI Associates, a 100% wholly-owned subsidiary of Mitsui & Co., and owner of the HANAE MORI brand rights worldwide, marked 60 years since Ms. Hanae Mori opened her boutique in Ginza. On October 13, a new HANAE MORI line designed by well-known Tokyo Collection designer Yu Amatsu was launched at the opening show of the Tokyo Collection. After the fashion show, a party was hosted by the Japan Fashion Week Organization with Hanae Mori as its special guest.

HANAE MORI Associates is engaged in the licensing of the HANAE MORI brand to 18 licensees in Japan and 3 overseas, generating annual sales of around ¥18.0 billion (retail base). The newly-launched line, which targets spontaneous, charming and independent women, aims to boost the brand's reach to new generations and also strengthen the licensing business in overseas markets.
