Establishment of Holding Company (China Headquarters) in Shanghai, China
Mitsui Engineering & Shipbuilding Co., Ltd. (President: Takao Tanaka) will establish Mitsui Zosen (China) Co., Ltd. in Shanghai, China, as China headquarters to expand its businesses in China.
1. Purpose of the establishment
Mitsui Engineering & Shipbuilding Group has expanded its businesses in a range of fields in China, such as manufacturing, marketing and after-services for diesel engines for ships, induction heating equipments, kitchen wastes treatment facilities, etc. In addition, to undertake business such as research, information gathering, sales, and procurement in China, Mitsuizosen (Shanghai) Co., Ltd. was established in 2011.
Business activities and growth rate in the growing Chinese market are ever more import than before. For expanding further businesses in China, for strengthening business operations in China and improving business efficiency between the subsidiary companies and associated companies, Mitsui Engineering & Shipbuilding will establish Mitsui Zosen (China) Co., Ltd. in Shanghai, China, which will take over the businesses of Mitsuizosen (Shanghai) Co., Ltd. in the future.
By establishment of holding company, the subsidiary companies and associated companies in China of Mitsui Engineering & Shipbuilding will strengthen group governance, and holding company will become a business development & innovation base for each domain described in the 2025 vision.
