Modern Times Mtg : InnoGames expands mobile games portfolio with ‘Warlords’

InnoGames is a leading global online games developer and publisher. MTG's investment in the company in October 2016 marked our entrance into online gaming as a new digital entertainment vertical.

'Warlords', meanwhile, is a mobile strategy game that goes something like this:

Developed by Berlin-based Wooga, 'Warlords' was acquired by InnoGames in February 2017. Over the coming months, the InnoGames team will use their long experience in developing and maintaining strategy games to enrich the game even further. Expect player vs. player and much more!

Armin Busen, Chief Product Officer at InnoGames, explains: 'Our dedicated team will add new features and improve the general game experience. 'Warlords' represents a very good fit for our portfolio and is another important step in our transition to mobile.'

Over 50% of InnoGames' new player registrations are on mobile platforms. Today, mobile is the fastest growing segment of the global gaming industry, which as a major entertainment source for millennials of all ages, is expected to reach total revenues of USD 113 billion by 2018.
