MOTA-ENGIL SIGNED A CONTRACT IN MOZAMBIQUE WORTH US$2,4 BILLION

MOTA-ENGIL S.G.P.S., S.A ("MOTA-ENGIL") informs that it signed a contract with Thai Moçambique Logística, SA, amounting to US$2,389 million in Mozambique.

The beginning of the works by the joint-venture (50/50) of MOTA-ENGIL and China National Complete Engineering Corporation (a subsidiary of China Machinery Engineering Corporation, a company listed in the Hong Kong Stock Exchange), is now schedule to 2018, as soon as the Finantial Close is reached by the client.

The large incorporation of Chinese goods and services gathers the support of the country's export credit agencies, with an expected positive impact on the Finantial Close.

The project, which is part of the logistics channel linking the Moatize mining area to the port of Macuse in Mozambique, will consist of the construction of a railway of about 500 km and will last 44 months.
