Motorola : delivers 1,000th TETRA digital radio system from its TETRA Center of Excellence in Berlin, Germany

BERLIN, Germany - April 25, 2017 - Motorola Solutions
has delivered its 1,000TETRA digital radio system and its 25,000base station out of its TETRA Center of Excellence in Berlin. The 1,000 TETRA system was delivered to the prison in Berlin´s Tegel district and will be used to provide mission critical communications to staff. This major milestone underlines Motorola Solutions' position as a leading supplier and operator of mission critical communications networks across the globe. The delivery also highlights Motorola Solutions' unrivalled standing as a trusted provider of TETRA systems for more than 20 years, ever since the first TETRA network was deployed at Oslo Airport in Norway back in 1997. Many of the 1,000 TETRA systems, which were staged in Berlin, are deployed across the EMEA region. These include numerous nationwide TETRA networks including: Austria, Denmark, Norway, Portugal, Ireland and the UK, where public safety organisations put their trust in Motorola Solutions. Globally, customers from more than 100 countries have been provided with mission critical communications networks from Motorola Solutions based on the TETRA standard. Many of the implementations also include the operation and management of the network as well as services. In every project, Motorola Solutions achieved the individual requirements of the customer across a range of diverse networks.
