Infrastructure and business services Group Mouchel has appointed David Mathieson as Managing Director of the Property and Assets business within its Mouchel Business Services division.

David took over at the helm of Property Services on Monday 10 December.

David has come from 16 years at Turner and Townsend where, in recent years, he led on their central and local government workstreams, frameworks and growth strategy. He brings with him experience of a wide range of construction projects, workplace change programmes and asset improvement strategies for clients across central and local government and other related organisations. He also spent two years seconded to the Office of Government Commerce, leading on its construction policy and best practice.

On his appointment, David said: "Mouchel is a fantastic organisation with a bright future. We have a very strong track record in the delivery of design and of driving efficiencies through the way property is used.  Up until now this excellent work has largely been hidden within the wider business.  My vision for Mouchel Property is for it to be recognised as both a strategic advisor and a leading provider of all types of property support and I see a great opportunity to build a highly successful business on its already strong and varied public sector client base."

The Property and Assets business will focus on delivering and growing Mouchel's impressive portfolio of property and assets contracts, while actively bidding for new framework and direct contracts.

Craig Apsey, Managing Director of Mouchel Business Services, said: "This is an exciting time for us all as we move from a period of uncertainty to one of growth. I look forward to seeing our property and assets business flourish."
