Infrastructure and business services group Mouchel has won a £360,000 contract spanning both the northern and southern supply areas of Northumbrian Water. This follows the completion of its industry-leading work on Essex & Suffolk's H2Eco Water Efficiency Programme.

Mouchel has been assisting Northumbrian Water Limited, who own both Northumbrian Water and Essex & Suffolk Water, with its Efficiency Programme since 2004. The success of the programme has led to Mouchel providing further work on a water-saving eco-fit project building on the success of the H2Eco contract while reducing the operating cost to deliver more litres saved per pound spent.

Mark Wintringham, Technical Delivery and Framework Manager for Mouchel, said: "I am extremely proud of the Water Efficiency Team. We have never stood still and are always looking to innovate and challenge our delivery methods to maximise benefits for all concerned. We have state-of-the-art mobile workforce and project management software which enables us to deliver bigger, better and more efficient solutions to our clients."
