Veterans of the Great Patriotic War of IDGC of Centre will take part in ceremonies commemorating the 70th anniversary of Victory Day in Moscow.

Within the program the veterans will visit the Central Museum of the Great Patriotic War, will take part in the laying of wreaths and flowers at the Tomb of the Unknown Soldier and the monument to Marshal Zhukov.

The celebrations will be attended by two veterans from IDGC of Centre - Smolenskenergo division and a veteran from IDGC of Centre - Belgorodenergo divsion.

The career of the veteran of the Smolensk branch of IDGC of Centre Boris A. Kolosov is associated with the power industry. During the Great Patriotic War he participated in the battles of Stalingrad as part of the 13th Mechanized Brigade of the 4th Guards Corps of Stalingrad. Victory Day May 9, 1945 he met at the Novosibirsk Aviation Plant, where he tested combat aircrafts of the brand "UC".

The veteran of IDGC of Centre - Smolenskenergo division Sergey A. Shilin at the beginning of the Great Patriotic War was taken to Belarus occupied by Nazi troops and detained in a concentration camp before being released in 1944 by the Soviet army. During his work at Smolenskenergo Sergey repeatedly was awarded Certificates of Merit of the company for his honest work.

The veteran of IDGC of Centre - Belgorodenergo division Nikolay S. Shevtsov until February 1943 lived in the German-occupied territory. In 1943 he was drafted into the army and sent to the units near the Ussuriisk. In August 1945 the Soviet government issued a statement on the USSR entering into the war against Japan, a military campaign against Imperial Japan was launched - the last outbreak of the Second World. Nikolay took part in the fighting in the 341st Infantry Frunze Regiment of the Red Banner of the 66th Infantry Division. After a brief, but fierce fighting the Kwantung Army surrendered and the war ended. He was demobilized in October 1950, and in 1962 came to work at "Belgorodenergo" and worked in the company until 1992, as he says, "at various engineering positions". The total length of work of N.S. Shevtsov in the energy sector is 43 years.
