A meeting of chief engineers of the company's branches was held in Voronezh, chaired by Deputy General Director - Chief Engineer of IDGC of Centre Alexander Pilyugin. Its main themes were summarizing activities for 2014 and tasks for the current year.

The meeting was opened by Alexander Pilyugin. Chief Engineer of IDGC of Centre announced the results of the company in the past year in the main areas of industrial activity. He said in particular that, in general, IDGC of Centre has the dynamics of improving the technical condition of electric grid equipment - for 2014 for the whole company the indicator increased by 3.7%. The best results were achieved in the Voronezh and Kostroma branches: the growth rate is 8.4% and 7.9%, respectively. To keep such a good momentum in the future, Alexander Pilyugin urged participants to make greater use of additional sources of financing repair programs.

Summing up the activities of operational and technical management, Chief Engineer stressed there under a set of criteria the best results were achieved by five branches: Belgorodenergo, Bryanskenergo, Kostromaenergo, Smolenskenergo and Tambovenergo. In addition, he outlined areas where there are opportunities for increased efficiency. It is, in particular, improving the quality of conducting operational communications of operators of Grid Control Centres, as well as increasing labour discipline of staff of first responding mobile crews.

At the conclusion of his speech, Alexander Pilyugin held a ceremony awarding winners of the held among the branches of IDGC of Centre traditional annual contest for the best fire-fighting condition. By the end of 2014 the honorary title "The Branch of a reference fire-fighting condition" was given to Belgorodenergo. Belgorod power engineers have been for many years firmly keeping their leading position. Second and third places went to the Lipetsk and Kursk branches, respectively.

A detailed analysis of each of the key areas of industrial activity was further made by heads of relevant departments of the executive office of IDGC of Centre.

Deputy Chief Engineer for operational and technological management Mikhail Kachan drew the meeting's participants' attention to the trend of the last three years of steady decline in the number of technological failures in grids. For example, in 2014 the whole company recorded half fewer violations than two years before. At the same time, said Mikhail Kachan, there are still a number of issues in the operational and technological management that need to study as a system, including - the necessity to improve the quality of the branches' work to identify causes of damage to electrical equipment.

And representatives of the branches spoke on current production issues. So, chief Engineer of Voronezhenergo Pavel Yanshin when discussing how to minimize the time to eliminate failures in grids, outlined the problem typical of many Russian big cities, including the one million city of Voronezh: difficulty for operational staff on duty to travel in congested urban highways. Alexander Pilyugin recommended to exchange experiences on this issue with colleagues from Moscow United Electric Grid, which won the right to install on the company's cars special alarm lights for unobstructed driving to a place of technological violations.

At the end of the meeting Chief Engineer of IDGC of Centre outlined priorities for the current year to colleagues of the branches. Among them there is further increase in production efficiency, implementation of new technologies and equipment, prevention of technological failures, reducing the cost of the current operation of the electric grid complex, including - by raising the previously unused internal resources, implementation of measures for energy conservation and efficiency. In addition, Alexander Pilyugin urged to protect production personnel, to provide for a safe working environment and opportunities for further professional development.
