In the Kursk region amendments to the regional law on urban planning have come into effect, expanding the list of facilities, construction of which is not necessary to harmonize with the relevant authorities. This category, in particular, has now classified facilities being constructed in the framework of performance of grid connection contracts of the voltage class up to 35 kV, as well as associated with them transformer substations, distribution points and other electrical equipment.

The amendments were developed by specialists of IDGC of Centre - Kurskenergo division, which manages these facilities in the region. Their goal is to simplify and reduce the time of connection of consumers to electric grids. IDGC of Centre initiated the process in the framework of the implementation of measures of the approved by the Government of the Russian Federation 'road map' to improve the availability of power grid infrastructure. The new law was a result of constructive cooperation of power companies and regional authorities.

Please, be reminded that in 2014 at the initiative of the company in regions of its service area (11 regions of the Central Federal District) the process of making amendments to local laws was started, excluding approval of construction of power lines with the voltage up to 20 kV. The first subject, where they entered into force, was the Yaroslavl region. Later, the procedure of approval of construction and renovation of lines with the voltage up to 20 kV was legally abolished in the Belgorod, Bryansk, Voronezh, Kostroma, Lipetsk, Smolensk, Tambov and Tver regions.
