MRSK Tsentra : Performance of the program of energy saving and energy efficiency by Smolenskenergo in 2014 gave the economic effect of 59 million rubles

The Program of energy saving and energy efficiency of IDGC of Centre - Smolenskenergo division on the basis of 2014 brought the expected results. To reduce electricity losses in grids organizational and technical measures were carried out aimed at improving the effectiveness of operation of substations and electricity grids and modernization of electricity metering systems. To reduce current consumption for utility needs the branch undertook activities to rationalize the use of energy for heating and lighting of structures and buildings. In order to identify unauthorized energy consumption in the distribution grids of the branch raids of the company's specialists took place in all districts of the Smolensk region in 2014.

During 2014 technical inspections were carried out at 100,418 thousand electricity metering systems. As a result, they identified and removed in the metering systems, which allowed to reduce losses caused by unauthorized increase in the operation error of the measurement system for 8.878 million kWh in the amount of 16.3 million rubles. In 2014, 127 acts on non-contractual consumption were drawn up and paid in the amount of 1.363 million kWh, which helped prevent the growth of costs in the amount of 4.373 million rubles.

Within the program of technical re-equipment and development of electricity grids in 2014 the replacement of 4 pieces of overloaded transformers for greater power and at 8 underloaded units was carried out. The effect of this work was 0.674 million kWh. In addition, wires on congested power lines were replaced for greater section wires, taps in the houses were replaced for self-supporting insulated wire, and existing feeders of 0.4 kV were changed for self-supporting insulated wire (in places of the greatest losses). At the end of 2014 the effect of the implementation of the technical activities of the program amounted to 1.956 million rubles.

"The implementation of the "Program of energy saving and energy efficiency "is one of the priorities of IDGC of Centre - Smolenskenergo division," clarified the head of the department of energy conservation and energy efficiency of Smolenskenergo Dmitry Serenkov. "The costs of the branch for the program of energy saving and energy efficiency in 2014 amounted to 54.9 million rubles. At the same time the economic effect of the performance of the program of energy conservation and energy efficiency by the branch only for 2014 amounted to 59 million rubles."
